Virat Kohli's bad form continues as he is dismissed for the third time in the IPL.
Virat Kohli's third zero of the IPL season came on Sunday, extending the Indian superstar's dire batting skid.
Kohli clipped the ball straight to short midwicket off left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith while opening the batting for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai.
Kohli was dismissed on the first ball for the third time in the current IPL, including two in a row last month.
In 12 matches, the 33-year-old top batsman and former India skipper has only hit 216 runs with one half-century.
Kohli, according to former India coach Ravi Shastri, is "overcooked" as a result of incessant playing and should take a break.
Kohli's poor batting form has coincided with his resignation as India's T20 and Test captain, and ODI captain
After the previous IPL season, he left as Bangalore's captain.
In more than 100 matches across all formats, Kohli has yet to achieve a century.
